Privacy Policy
Last updated August 11, 2026. This policy describes how ArgonDesk, a solo-operated service, handles information.
1. Who we are
ArgonDesk is a solo-operated service. For privacy questions, access, or deletion requests, contact support@argondesk.com. For vulnerability reports and security concerns, contact security@argondesk.com.
Automated product emails (verification, trusted-device notices, invites, and similar) may appear From security@argondesk.com. That address is used for outbound system mail; use support@argondesk.com when you need human help with privacy or your account.
2. Information we collect
- Account data: name, email, password (stored hashed), optional phone, organization membership and roles.
- Team invites: invitee email, invite status and token metadata, permission flags, and which computers an invite may access.
- Device and host data: machine identifiers, computer names, host presence/state, and related configuration needed to connect.
- Session metadata: when sessions start and end, status, and high-level disconnect reasons — not a recording of your desktop content.
- Security data: login and 2FA events, trusted devices, optional IP allowlists, and rate-limit records to prevent abuse.
- Billing records: when you activate a paid plan, we may receive payment confirmations, invoices, and related correspondence. If you pay through an external processor, card details stay with that processor.
- Support reports: if you send an error report, we receive your email, message, app mode, and optional log archives. Application logs are built to redact tokens, passwords, and OTPs.
- Technical logs: IP addresses, user agents, and service logs needed to run API, broker, and relay infrastructure.
3. How we use information
- Provide remote access, fleet presence, and account features.
- Authenticate users and protect accounts (OTP, 2FA, device trust).
- Send transactional email (verification, security notices, invites, support).
- Deliver team invites and enforce plan and seat limits.
- Diagnose failures when you submit an error report.
- Prevent abuse and keep the service reliable.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Organization and admin visibility
If you join an organization, org admins can see teammate accounts, pending invites, machine access assignments, and related dashboard activity for that organization. Teammates should treat org admins as having administrative visibility into their membership and computer access within that org.
5. Tunnel and desktop content
Session pixels and keyboard/mouse input travel through our tunnel path to your Host’s local Remote Desktop service. We do not offer session recording. Operational signaling and presence data are processed to establish and maintain connections.
6. Processors and hosting
We use infrastructure and vendors as needed to run the product, which may include cloud hosts for API/broker, email delivery (e.g. Resend), object storage for support log uploads when configured, and payment processors when customers pay through them. Those providers process data only to provide their service to us.
7. Cookies and local storage
The web app uses cookies or similar storage for essential authentication/session handling and basic preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies today. Desktop apps store local config (for example auth tokens and computer names) on your machine under ArgonDesk application data folders.
8. Retention and deletion
We keep account and operational data while your account is active and as needed for security and debugging. Pending invites typically expire after about seven days. Support log uploads are kept as needed for diagnosis, then removed or minimized. Deletion requests are handled manually — email support@argondesk.com and we will work with you to delete or anonymize account data where feasible, except records we must keep for security, fraud prevention, or legal reasons.
9. Your choices
You can request access, correction, or deletion of your account data by emailing support@argondesk.com. If you are a teammate in someone else’s organization, some data is also visible to that org’s admin — you can ask them about team-visible membership and access settings.
10. Children
ArgonDesk is not directed at children under 16. Do not create an account if you are under that age.
11. International use
The service may be hosted in regions we choose. If you access ArgonDesk from another country, you understand your information may be processed where our infrastructure runs.
12. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy as the product evolves. The date above will change when we do. Continued use after updates means you accept the revised policy.
