Terms of Service

Last updated August 11, 2026. ArgonDesk is a solo-operated service (“we”, “us”).

1. Agreement

By creating an account or using ArgonDesk (the website, Host app, Viewer app, and related services), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. These Terms are written for an early product and may change as the service grows.

2. The service

ArgonDesk helps you reach Windows PCs you control over an encrypted tunnel using our Host and Viewer software. The web dashboard is for account, team, and computer management. Connecting to a desktop uses the Viewer application.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate signup information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account, including machines you enroll and users you invite. On Team plans, organization admins control invites and machine access for their organization. Notify us at support@argondesk.com if you believe your account was compromised.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use ArgonDesk to access computers without authorization.
  • Abuse, disrupt, or overload the service or other customers.
  • Attempt to bypass authentication, rate limits, or security controls.
  • Reverse engineer or redistribute our software except as allowed by law.
  • Use the service for unlawful activity.

5. Host PC requirements

Hosting remote sessions requires a supported Windows edition that can accept Remote Desktop connections (typically Pro, Enterprise, or Education — not Home). You are responsible for enabling Remote Desktop, firewall rules, power settings, and Windows account passwords on machines you enroll. We provide readiness tools in the Host app; correct host configuration remains your responsibility.

6. Plans and trials

New accounts receive a 14-day free trial with Solo plan limits. Paid plans are Solo, Pro, and Team. Features and limits depend on your plan. Trial and paid activation may be manual. Fees, renewals, and refunds — when offered — will be described at purchase time. Plan expiry may pause new Viewer connections without disabling Hosts you already enabled or deleting your account data immediately.

7. Team seats

On Team plans, the purchased user count is for teammate seats. The organization admin does not consume a teammate seat. You are responsible for who you invite and for the access you grant them to computers in your organization.

8. Microsoft Windows and RDS licensing

You are responsible for owning valid Microsoft Windows licenses for each Host and any Windows Server Client Access Licenses (CALs) and Remote Desktop Services (RDS) CALs required for multi-session use. ArgonDesk does not include or replace Microsoft licenses. Windows Pro and similar client editions support one interactive remote session at a time by design.

9. Availability

The service is provided as is and as available. We do not guarantee uptime, latency, or uninterrupted connectivity. Networks, third-party hosts, and Windows configuration can affect sessions.

10. Intellectual property

ArgonDesk software, branding, and documentation remain our property. You retain ownership of your account content and the systems you connect to. You grant us a limited license to process data as needed to operate the service (see our Privacy Policy).

11. Disclaimers and liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits, or business arising from your use of the service. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the service is limited to the greater of (a) fees you paid us in the three months before the claim or (b) USD $50, if you have not paid fees.

12. Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for Terms violations, abuse, or to protect the service. Provisions that should survive (liability, IP, acceptable use) continue after termination.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above and, when practical, noting changes in the product or by email. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
